Joy Lee-Shi holds a Master of Arts in Experimental Psychology (Quantitative, Qualitative, and Theoretical Specialization) from Simon Fraser University (SFU), Canada, where her thesis qualitatively examined and adapted the Hybrid Model of Stress Response for Belizean contexts.
She currently teaches research methods at University of Belize and provides statistical consulting for research teams and postgraduate dissertation research. She serves as a Board Member of the Mental Health Association, Belize. Her research interests span trauma and adversity, resilience, the health inequities and needs of vulnerable populations, and the cross-cultural application of psychological constructs.
